Our journey at MILAB officially began! In the first week, each of us worked independently on three personal project ideas connected to the theme of “cohesion.” It was an opportunity to explore how technology, design, and psychology can come together to strengthen human connections and bridge gaps in communication, values, and understanding.

By the second week, we were assigned to our permanent teams for the year and that’s when the real collaboration started. Together, we brainstormed dozens of social and technological challenges that reflect the world we live in today. After a lively discussion, we decided to focus on three main issues:

  1. Lack of reliability in media- the challenge of misinformation, influencers, and viral content that shape our opinions without us even realizing it.

  2. Avoidance of dialogue- the fear of engaging in conversations that might lead to conflict or discomfort.

  3. Technological anxiety- the growing gap between generations, as some parents fear or reject technology while their children embrace it.

Our next step was to think about who we should interview as experts who could help us understand these challenges from different perspectives. By the end of week two, we had already listed potential interviewees, including journalists, educators, and media creators.

Next week, we’ll begin our interviews, hoping to gain valuable insights that will guide our research and help us define a specific direction for our project.

It’s exciting to see how ideas that started as scattered thoughts are slowly taking shape through teamwork, curiosity, and open discussion.

Stay tuned, this is just the beginning!
